Stop and Space Out

To help everyone stay safe during the corona virus outbreak please give others plenty of distance out on the trails.

On narrow trails, announce your presence when coming up on others. Stop and give a friendly greeting, followed by a request for the other party to stop also. Give people lots of room, as some prefer to have much more than 6 feet of space.

Stopping allows time for communication about how to facilitate a safe passing. Some may find stopping to be a bit much, but we need to adjust our use of the trails during these times. And please consider that not everyone getting some recreation is young, agile, or fit.

Give the trails and the landscape a break too. When people simply run by, off trail, or ride by each other off of the trail, they are contributing to wider trails or braided trail conditions. Stop and step well off of the trail, so others can pass safely.
